8 Ideas for vibrant learning and self-growth / Learn flamenco basics, know these 3 characteristics / Classical Spanish Dance characteristics / Spanish Dance Flamenco Class schedules in Singapore

Are you starting 2024 with joy, hope and anticipation?

If so, that is wonderful and you can celebrate that gift of life perspective.

Or, are you looking at just another stretch of a year to get by?

Status quo of work unquestioned…

Hum dum routine …

A flatline of time with little to flicker your enthusiasm…

Modern life fills our mindspace with seeming busyness.

Pulls us away from the centre of self-reflection.

Consumes precious resources – our time and health.

BUT, good news, year-beginnings are like a rest stop, that always give us hope to reset and recalibrate.

Once, I was in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, conducting a workshop and show. At the post-event community talk, a curious father (who came with his daughter) asked:

‘Can you tell me why my daughter should learn flamenco?’

It was a post-event talk, no time to go into an educational spree of info (over-load).

I remember my instinctive response at that moment.

It was simply: ‘Because it makes you feel, and you express your humanity’.

Flamenco is an art profoundly connected to living.

    • Dance – your body is alive when it moves
    • Sing  – your words touch people
    • Make music  – you uplift spirits

It’s a trinity that hits the heart, directly and simply.

We feel, so we are alive.

We feel, so we have inspiration and aspirations, backed by capacity to elevate our human experience and relations, differently from other earthly animals.

So this year lies before you to FEEL:

    • Feel vibrant, alive with feelings and your individuality
    • Feel eager and earnest to learn
    • Feel you can create and shape – aspirations and outcomes
    • Feel community and camaraderie
    • Feel fulfilled.

Warmest wishes for your 2024,

Tania
