Stay tuned for this year’s trip. And meanwhile, we’ll be uploading photos of videos of our Sept 2018 trip to Madrid and Seville.
Seville is one of the most important source regions of flamenco. We’ve had such a fruitful time here, taking up a personalised training programme at our maestro’s academy, the renowned Academia de Manuel Betanzos in Seville. The programme ended with our first informal showcase in Seville, to a very supportive audience.
We coincided our trip with the Seville Bienal too, so there were lots of inspiring shows to catch, from grand theatre to tablao. What’s an immersion without yummy food, some shopping for flamenco gear, and sightseeing? Great memories stay with us.
Ever elegant and encouraging, this wonderful teacher and dancer from Madrid returns to Singapore for our annual training programme. Look forward to learning and refining dance techniques of Classical Spanish discipline, including techniques of the castanets. Paloma’s detailed explanations are enlightening. This greatly helps students in forming an important foundation for all range of Spanish dance, including flamenco. Here’s where you’ll also learn new dance repertoire, set to inspiring music. Stay tuned for details. Meanwhile, follow Paloma here.
