Spanish dance flamenco singapore - you can do it

Here’s how we’re training our footwork and body.

You learn to grow GRIT when you learn flamenco!

How?

  1. By focussing

Focus on what you are learning, with earnestness. Don’t just dabble.

2. By giving it a try

If you don’t try, you’ll never know or gain

3. By Repetition

Repeat your process. And each round you do it, know what you are aiming to improve.

Otherwise, you would be practising blindly

4. By pushing personal limits

Where you are now, and where you can be.

What stands in between?

The process makes you push yourself to increase your current capacity. You’ll face the ups and the downs.

That’s why growth is uncomfortable.(and many will give up)

5. Not giving up

By not giving up, you are strengthening an attitude (mindset). It will serve you in life beyond the classroom.

That’s grit.

In flamenco, you need grit.

It’ll be tough at some stage of the journey, but you’ll also be rewarded by:

1. Confidence in your capacity

2. Personal growth, satisfaction at your progress

3. A community of like-minded people (surround yourself with ‘can-do’ spirit)

4. Grow your life experiences, and

5. Be inspired by one of the most vibrant life-giving cultures in our world.

Warmest regards,

Tania Goh

PS. After doing the video above, I remembered this TED talk video on grit. It was educational and encouraging to watch.
